I was born and raised in Fife, Scotland and live near the water of the stunning Firth of Forth. My job titles have included waitress, shelf stacker, and shop assistant. After a few years working as a secondary school history teacher, I took (very) early retirement for medical reasons. Although I dabble in wonky craftwork and try with various levels of success to keep plants alive, writing has always been my primary hobby. I turned to writing erotica after realising many of my friends were looking for erotic fiction that was sexy but had a tender and lightly humorous touch. The exact phrase that resonated was, “I would like something that’s a bit like Downton Abbey but with shagging.” The idea for the Age of Decadence came into my mind and would not leave. While The Age of Decadence is not the first book I have set out to write, it is the first I have ever managed to complete. less
